'I am FIRST a very proud and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. I’ve been in business for over 5 years now, and I truly enjoy what I do. I enjoy wine and timelines when I’m not coordinating people’s special day.
I’ve been told before that the human mind is wired to respond to personal stories. So, here I am...sharing my journey, my brand, and my story with you- a potential client!
It all started when I provided someone with a simple, “No.” My cousin asked me to coordinate her wedding. I immediately told her no. I just wasn’t familiar or comfortable with the wedding industry...at the time. Quite frankly, I had absolutely no desire to “coordinate” her wedding. I really wanted to enjoy myself at her wedding! Little did I know that event would start the next chapter of my life! We’ve all doubted our talents before, and most times it leads to bigger and better opportunities in life!
Fast forward...obviously I took on the task!
I must say that it was very easy for me to do. My character traits and my personality align with what is needed to be a SUCCESSFUL wedding coordinator. My brand is my driving power. I pride myself on assertive professionalism, precision in all aspects of the process, and staying focused on the REASON for the day, which is the couple getting married. I listen intently and carefully to make sure the Bride and Groom’s vision for THEIR day is exactly how they see it.
I consistently get asked, “What’s your ‘why’, Shon?” I’m almost embarrassed to tell you my “why!!!!” But... It’s honestly very simple. PEOPLE. When I realized what my “why” was, that lead me directly to my passion, and that’s PEOPLE! I am naturally a happy person and aspire to use my gifts and talents to create and take part in happiness for others. My work as a wedding coordinator gives me the opportunity to create happiness and magic for that couple. I look forward to the possibility of working with you on your special day!
